Personal finance and money talk is still seen as this hushed subject nobody talks about. Until it’s too late. Debt piles up, savings become nonexistent, and people feel stuck. Yet no seems to want (or know how) to change it. “It” being the cycle of debt, living paycheck to paycheck, and putting off retirement planning that so many people find themselves in. And it’s weird. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
What if a person could control their money instead of it controlling them? What if they didn’t have to live paycheck to paycheck and could instead save a hefty chunk each month? What if a person stopped following along to societal norms and instead make their own way of life? That’s what this site is all about.
Rebel with a Plan is the place for people ready to make thoughtful, conscious choices about their money. People who reject the notion of staying in debt, being trapped in a fixed income, and letting their money control them.
Like most millennials, I didn’t (and still don’t) know a lot about money management and personal finance. I got student loans and I’m still not quite sure what an index fund even is. Through the content I post, I hope to learn more about personal finance and hopefully it will teach other millennials about it.
